Eleven years of business cards
I’m Carlos Hernandez, and I’ve spent the last 11 years in the printing industry. In that time I’ve printed, handled and handed out more business cards than I can count: thick paper, thin paper, linen, matte, gloss, every stock you can think of.
I also saw what happened to most of them. They were glanced at, bent in a pocket, left on a table, and eventually thrown away. Thousands of cards, all that design work and printing, gone within days.
The dream: a card people keep
I kept imagining a different kind of card. One that made people stop the conversation to look at it. One that felt substantial in the hand, like a credit card. One that was beautiful enough to keep, in a wallet, on a desk, pinned to a board, long after the meeting was over.

The greenest business card is the one that doesn’t end up in the trash. Paper cards are cheap, so they’re printed by the thousands and thrown away just as fast. We also encourage clients to order the quantity they’ll actually use, starting at just 125 cards, instead of boxes that sit in a drawer until the phone number changes.

Every Luxor card is printed and finished in the United States. Keeping production here lets us control quality at every step, check every order against the approved proof, and get cards to you faster than overseas printers.
How we work
- A real designer, not a template robot. A designer in New York prepares every proof personally, and revisions are unlimited.

- A guarantee we stand behind. If your cards don’t match the proof you approved, or arrive with a manufacturing defect, tell us within 30 days and we’ll make it right.
